Houthi rebels from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement will attack ships of all companies working with Israeli ports within range of their weapons, the movement's military spokesman, Yahya Saree , said. "The Yemeni armed forces have decided to activate their military operations in support of the Palestinians and begin implementing Phase Four of their naval blockade, targeting all ships belonging to any company that has dealings with Israeli ports, regardless of nationality or destination, and wherever they can be reached by our missiles and drones," the spokesman stated in a message broadcast on the Houthi-controlled Al Masirah television channel. Saree recommended that all shipping companies cease cooperation with Israeli ports. He called on all countries to pressure Israel to end its aggression in the Gaza Strip and lift the blockade of the besieged enclave.
"There is no politics of hunger in Gaza, and there is no hunger in Gaza ," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday evening in Jerusalem, speaking at a Christian conference hosted by Trump adviser and evangelical pastor Paula White, the Times of Israel reports. Israel "has allowed humanitarian aid throughout the war... Otherwise, there would be no Gazans," Netanyahu added, accusing Hamas of intercepting supplies and then "accusing Israel of not providing them."
Israel has “allowed the entry into the Strip of the amount (of aid, ed. ) required by international law ,” the prime minister stressed, estimating that some 1.9 million tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to the Gaza Strip since the start of the war in October 2023.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese accused Israel of violating international law, but gave no indication he would follow France 's initiative to recognize Palestinian sovereignty. "Stopping aid deliveries to civilians in Gaza was a clear violation of international law," Albanese said. "It's a violation of the norms of humanity and morality, and everyone can see it," he added.
In recent days, Australia was one of more than 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand, to sign a letter condemning the " inhumane " killing of starving Palestinians as they searched for food, water, and medicine. "The suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached new depths," the letter states. "We condemn the lack of aid and the inhumane killing of civilians, including children, who are trying to meet their most basic needs for water and food," the letter continues.
Jewish groups in Australia and the Israeli ambassador to Canberra criticized the Albanian government for co-signing the letter, which they claim blames Israel for something Hamas is guilty of. Albanese responded in a television interview, noting that "showing the image of a starving child is not a threat to Israel's right to exist." The prime minister also indicated that Australia does not intend to follow France's lead in recognizing Palestinian statehood at the United Nations General Assembly in September, but left open the prospect that such recognition could come relatively quickly.
Despite Israel's announced "tactical pause" to allow for the flow of humanitarian aid, at least 62 people have died in Gaza since dawn yesterday alone, 34 of whom were people queuing for food. Al Jazeera reports this, citing local sources.
